You would think that this would be seamless. I'm downloading from a file sharing site like Rapidgator, the type of download that doesn't support resuming. I'll be 3/4 done with my download and I need to leave the wifi hotspot, so I figure I'll just turn on my phone's own wifi hotspot and tether to complete the download. Nope, the download breaks as soon as I try to switch wifi connections.
My old android gingerbread phones can seamlessly switch between my 2 WDS access points in my house, but my Note 3 running android Kitkat cannot:mad:. Is there anything I can do with the phone to fix this without using 3rd party apps (Best wifi, etc...)?
I'm asking why one of my S4's recognizes my Wifi & gets to the WEP key popup and my other S4 doesn't? The second phone lists the Wifi however just hangs, then never connects. What gives? Carrier is t-mobile.
Okay. I need a free app to turn my phone into a wifi hotspot. Sounds easy?? My Vibrant is running Android 2.1 so I don't have Google play, and my phone doesn't actually work through a company. I just use it on a wifi signal. My phone reaches the community wifi but my laptop doesn't! :/
Recently, I've installed a WiFi Keyboard application to my Android phone. This way, since both the phone and my computer were connected to the same WiFi network, I could access the phones keyboard from my computer.
After, the phone disconnected from the WiFi network.
