Republic Wireless announced today that they have begun shipping pre-ordered smartphones for their new wireless service. Republic Wireless is using a “Hybrid Wi-Fi cellular Calling network” to provide service. The network utilizes any available wifi for a primary network and Sprint’s 3G network for the secondary network.
