I obtained my new Galaxy S III yesterday, yet I cannot recover application data, nor the actual themselves via Titanium Backup.
I am transferring from the T-Mobile G2(HTC Vision). The titanium backup data is from there.
I rooted the Galaxy S III, installed the "Omega v.28" ROM, and installed Titanium Backup from the Google Play Store.
I installed stock OTA JB a couple of days ago and lost root access. I tried using Voodoo to restore root but that failed. Finally I used Wugs tool and it seemed to be successful. Titanium Backup is working as rooted as so do a couple of other root apps.
I just installed Barnicle, and when I went to run it, it indicated that I was not rooted.
I currently have a Deja Dup Backup utility in Ubuntu 12.04 to run scheduled backups every day but the backup never runs. The Overview tab always reports "Most recent backup: n days ago" and "Next automatic backup: Today". I can run a backup on demand no problem so as far as I can tell it's not a network availability issue or a permissions issue. It just appears not to run on schedule.
just updated bionic to ICS .246 via RSD. was originally running stock GB rom other than it being rooted. I tried rooting ICS but im not sure whats happened. titanium backup says the phone is rooted but i cannot uninstall any of the junk apps nor make any changes usuing SQLite. ive tried FDR and rooting it numerous times using droid razr root, razrs edge and motofail ICS.
I am currently using a non-rooted Xperia Neo (M15i) on 4.0.4 4.1.B.0.587, and am planning to change my phone (to Xperia Z). I would like to transfer some app data for a game (Puzzle & Dragons) to it.
I have a rooted, stock GS3. Waited a few hours for others to update to 4.1.2 and someone said they used Voodoo Rootkeeper to temp unroot, updated, and everything was fine. I did this also, and my phone updated and rebooted.
Greetings all. I'm a noob who recently rooted my Pantech Marauder phone. I rooted using ICS Root Unlocker 1.0. After the recent Verizon software update OTA this week, I no longer have root on my phone.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I could go about restoring root access to my phone?
I tried the factory reset; however, it resets to the new OTA update.
You need to have a rooted phone.
If you did not backup your apps before you rooted go to the market and download Titanium Backup and AppTyrant and backup your apks, apps and app data only. Do not backup system apps or system data.
1. You will actually need two recovery's, 1st.
I rooted my phone, and like an idiot, I did a system update from boost/samsung. Now my phone is back to crap. Had titanium backup and everything set up. I got rid of all the JUNK from boost that was clogging up my phone. My question is once I root it again how do I keep that from happening again? Just ignore the updates, but man that is annoying every time I look at the phone it has another one.
