I obtained my new Galaxy S III yesterday, yet I cannot recover application data, nor the actual themselves via Titanium Backup.
I am transferring from the T-Mobile G2(HTC Vision). The titanium backup data is from there.
I rooted the Galaxy S III, installed the "Omega v.28" ROM, and installed Titanium Backup from the Google Play Store.
Are they all for different purposes? Should I only backup using the ROM manager back up when flashing new ROMs? And should I only be using Titanium Backup as an all purpose back up? And what exactly is NAND backup, I've only heard about it.
Sorry if these are newbie questions, I just got around to my rooting my Nexus 7. :o
I have a few question regarding nandroid backup and titanium backup.
1. If I do nandroid backup of original ROM and then I flash to another ROM, what happens if I directly do restore from the backup from another ROM?
2. What is the difference between nandroid backup and titanium backup? As far as I'm concerned, titanium backup only backup the apps + data. How about nandroid backup?
3.
So I flash new ROMs on my phone constantly and I would never be able to bear being such a flash whore without titanium backup. I'd like to root my nexus but I keep reading it deletes everything and as dumb as it seems, I want to keep my Garfield data! I've read about nandroid backup but it does the same image right?
I finally had enough of my D3 physical keyboard skipping, so Verizon is shipping me a "like new" replacement phone.
This is my second replacement, again due to the keyboard; the last time I had to rebuild my phone, I used Titanium Backup to backup all my apps+data from my original phone, then restore on the new phone (after rooting, installing Titanium Backup, etc.) It seems like tha
I want to wipe /sdcard and then to restore apps and data. So what I'll do:
1. Titanium Backup for all apps and data.
2. Wipe /sdcard.
3.
I have titanium backup set to sync the backup to my dropbox after it backs everything up. O have it set to do this automatically everyday at like 2am (my phone is not powered off) . I keep getting this error: com.sidhe interactive.sif.dr ? What does it mean. Also, does tb delete the backup it creates locally after uploading
It?
So here is the story:
I have a Galaxy S3 with Rogers (AT&T). I decided to root my phone which I did successfully using OSX terminal and installed goo manager as the rom manager and recovery. I installed SU and Titanium backup to get ready to flash. Backed up all my system + app data and searched for a rom. The first rom I flashed was 747 greystone.
I have a Samsung galaxy s2 that I titanium backup pro. I moved my apps to the external sd card I had in the phone. I then put the sd card in my new rooted Samsung galaxy s3 which also has titanium backup pro installed. I can't see or figure out how to put apps on s3. Anyone know how? Thanks
