Tips Upgrading external memory card.

http://androidforums.com – Being a newbie at Android, I upgraded my memory card from a 4 gig to a 16 gig yesterday and discovered this problem. If you have moved any apps to the memory card from the phone ( I always thought they moved to the non- removable SD card rather than the ext SD card, but apparently some components of the moved apps are on the ext sd), and then you uninstall the ext card, some of your apps are also removed with it , even though you copied all the folders on the old memory card to the new one. So after I started up the phone again, I saw that about 8 of my apps had disappeared along with their (General)

Originally I had an Xperia X10(Android). It died but I kept the 16gb memory card and put it in the Nokia E5(Symbian) my provider used as a replacement.

I now have a Galaxy Note.

I've been using My Phone Explorer to transfer files from phone to computer. I've recently noticed that my memory card has 2 main folders: Memory Card and External Storage.

This is my first post not had an android phone for long. I am confused about transferring apps to the SD Card. Most of the apps I have downloaded give an option to transfer to the SD card. At first I thought this must be to the external SD card. But it turns out that this is to the internal SD card, but there is no internal SD card.

one question i run into is the SD card, the tablet came with 4GB of memory internally, i purchased a 32GB SD card hoping to boost its usability, and used a few apps to "move app to SD" its been work

I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5839i where I keep getting memory nearly full messages (I am assuming that it is the Phone memory that is nearly full as there is only 17.45 MB available). The result is that I am not receiving text and emails until I move or delete something in the phone memory.

So far i have been using the old sd card that came with my Arc S. Its been working fine but ive ran out of memory. So i bought a new 32gb MicroSD HC card. Its class 4. This one to be specific -

I inserted my new sd (empty) into the phone. When the phone started, there was a Sh*t ton of lag. I basically couldnt do anything.

My phone was working fine with Cyanogenmod Rom for a quite a while now. But I put someone else's memory card (after unmounting my sd card) and it started restarting. I tried to start the phone with my memory card, and even without any memory card at all, but the problem still persists.
