Let me get straight to the punch. I'm trying to root my Metrix (SCH-I405U). However, i dont know what to look for sense there is now Metrix specific forums. Does anyone know if the Metrix just a Stratosphere distributed by U.S. Cellular?

This is a near mint Samsung Stratosphere with a clean ESN.
Hey guys, I'm having some difficulties with my Stratosphere. It is currently stuck on the SAMSUNG reboot screen, and continuously shuts off and then goes back to the reboot screen. I've tried holding Volume +/- and the power button, and the recovery screen comes up for one second, but then the screen goes black and it goes back to the SAMSUNG screen and gets stuck in a boot loop.
so after a long trial and error proccess I fnally got my stratosphere rooted and rom'ed with tweak rom plus rhc overclock kernel. its pretty awesome to say the least. the only thing is the tweaked rom 2.2 is getting a bad file error when I try to flash it so im on 2.0 right now and the phone eeps asking me to upgrade to the newest firmware I guess.
My Samsung Stratosphere turned itself off sometime earlier tonight during dinner (fully charged right before we went out to dinner), and now is rebooting to the Samsung logo, and then turning back off, and rebooting (a couple times earlier it booted to the main android menu, but turned back off immediately afterwards) and when I plugged it into the charger it acts like it's charging and then turn
