Tips for safestrap?

http://forum.xda-developers.com – Just downloaded safestrap 3.11 want to.flash my first rom. Wanna know if there is any things i shouldnt do that will screw up my phone. All the roms i have looked at at loom pretty simple. Can i keep stock in a slot or just make sure i have a backup? And are there any suggestions for roms you guys prefer? Can't remove safestrap startup 17 weeks 6 days ago

Hey guys,

Just got a used Razr M that was rooted with safestrap 3.05 v. 2.2.2.1. I unrooted the phone and can't seem to get rid of safestrap. There's no app icon or apk on the phone for me to uninstall safestrap. I was going through the recovery menu and could not find anything on how to remove safestrap.

Stock Rooted ROM / Safestrap 1 year 5 weeks ago

Does anyone know if there is a ZIP file for stock rooted ROM (.173) that I can flash in CMW to install it? Every thread I read about using RSDLite to flash it. I have yet to see it otherwise.

To make a long story short, I want to be able to install the stock rooted ROM on the Safestrap partition to upgrade to the ICS leak.

ok here is the deal.....i made a backup using safestrap while my phone was on ICS.....my phone is updated to jellybean....i lost root after, rerooted and installed safestrap again. the problem is when i try to restore my screen is black after the safestrap logo. i can fastboot and flash again no problem but im really trying to restore this image.....any suggestions?

Hello all,

I recently rooted my Motorola Droid RAZR & made a backup of the stock rom with root that I'd had. I played around with a few roms and now I want to flash back to the backup that I originially made.

I've now restored the device to the original ROM. When I reboot the system, it gives me the SafeStrap option & I hit the Search Button to continue to boot the ROM.

While I'm thinking about it, I wanted to ask a question. I had to revert back to the stock ROM, and went to re-add root and Safestrap 2.10. All went well with the install, but when I went to enable the Safe System, and I rebooted, the phone did the POST (Motorola symbol), got to the SafeStrap splash, then the screen went blank.

How do I upgrade the 232 leak to 246? I am rooted with SafeStrap. I guess I would prefer to wipe data and go 246 OTA if possible, then root/safestrap.

Must I downgrade to 905?

It was getting really buggy, so I decided to update to the latest CM10.1 nightly. I updated safestrap to the latest version, and I saw that on the changelog for the CM nightlies that the rom could be installed on any slot.

safestrap not working on .215? 43 weeks 1 hour ago

Since i jumped to the .215 leak from the .213 leak i haven't been able to install safestrap. The app loads fine and all, but when i reboot all i get is the motorola boot logo fallowed by the droid boot animation. Am i doing something wrong or is it the same for everyone?
