Hey guys,
I'm looking for the best possible wireless charger for my S3. Right now I have the Duracell wireless charging kit but it's a cover you have to put over the phone, which adds bulk. I'd like to stay without a cover and maintain as thin of a phone as I can.
so it looks like the spectrum and the lucid are getting ics (Ice Cream Sandwich Headed To The LG Spectrum and LG Lucid on Verizon Wireless) is it possible that this is what we need to make ics on our phone work? i aske because we use the same root tool and the spectrum is the vs920 our predecessor.
One of the best features of Google’s new Nexus 4 is its native wireless charging capabilities, but until now, wireless charging has been convenient, but not actually useful. I will contest to how nice it is to be able to drop your device onto a pad and not have to worry about cables, but unfortunately it severely limits those who want to use their device while charging.
LG has noticed the wireless charging dilemma, and taken action. Wireless charging is great for avoiding a messy tangle of cables, but in the past, the positioning of the phone left us mostly unable to use our phones while charging. At MWC 2012, LG revealed its WCD-800 wireless charging cradle that will get rid of the wires, and let you use your phone while it’s getting juiced up.
Life is about to get just a little sweeter for owners of the Verizon variant of the Galaxy S III smartphone. Fresh off reports of third party wireless charging kits being on the way, the gang at PhoneArena obtained some confidential information indicating Verizon’s flavor of the device has a wireless charging kit on the way.
Was the Motorola Triumph wireless charging ready? Remove the back cover, you find two gold contacts to the left of the battery. All other wireless charging enabled phones have these exact contacts for negative and positive, so was the Triumph gonna be a phone with a ton of accessories but then left uncared for afterwards?
Which ones are you guys getting for your 8X on Verizon?
Since the 8x on Verizon support Qi wireless charging standard I was thinking of the Fatboy Pillow or the Nokia charging pad or the Energizer Inductive one. I have only heard of the Energizer one working with the 8x. Qi is a standard for charging so technically any Qi capable wireless charger should work right?
Not sure if anyone of you experienced this problem before.
It occurred to me that my charging from socket is so much slower than normal, thus I downloaded current widget to check the current that is charging, and it turns out that it is charging at USB speed, and in my Battery information in Settings, it is displayed as USB charging instead of AC charging.
I searched the forums, but did not find a direct comparison. Have any of you tried these two phones personally? What's your take? I have the LG Spectrum. I can say the screen is truly amazing! Nothing compares to that screen in my opinion. But, like most 4g phones, battery is not the best. I can go 16 hours on my Spectrum, but with no heavy use.
