Tips Hard reset with no touch screen

http://androidforums.com – Just sent back my N7 to Asus. Since the touch screen is non functional, I had to use the hardware method to accomplish a factory restore (wipe my data). Following Asus's official method doesn't work, the N7 will go to bootloader and that's it. I searched and found there's a flaw, you need to be connected to a pc in order for the bootloader to work properly and get you to recovery...fine. I also found all the guides I could find on the web were either wrong or at least poorly written which caused me much frustration.
