Hello all,
I recently installed 'midnightrom' (S-on) and Im loving it. Id like to make a FULL backup image of my device using 4ext (full version). How do I do this? The website is vague. What I would like is a full backup of everything so that if I try another rom and dont like it I can always restore back to the EXACT spot I am now.
Is there a way to make a complete backup of my TF101, because as far as I know CWM does not include the kernel in the backup. I would like to try some ROM's and kernels, but before I start I would like to make a full backup of my tablet, so I can always restore it back to the state it is right now.
If there is a seperare tool to only backup the kernel, this would also be great :)
Dear Members,
I have to setup around 50 Galaxy Notes with some applications and widgets along with custom background. Is there a way to back up and restore like iTunes (all applications, theme, etc), so that I can setup one device, backup it and restore other devices.
i search for a way, to make a complete backup. Because i will test some other roms.
complete backup mean somthing like the ftf files for Flashtool.
hi
i made a full backup from my old host and wanna to restore in my new VPS.
i have no problem with restore function but it take to much time and my PC cannot be logged in internet for alot of time.
I got the sample for Restore/backup by android sdk samples, and its working fine, but updating only 1st version of data.
Galaxy Note, Android 4, not rooted.
Does anybody have a backup strategy where the restore has actually been used and worked for them? Everybody's got a strategy/tools....
When I perform a backup from recovery (or via a front-end such as ROM Manager), what exactly is saved?
Is it like a clone of a hard drive in the PC world?
Does it contain only data, and not the actual ROM?
How should I go about using such a backup when doing a restore? Should a ROM be installed first, followed by the restore?
Since my phone got upgraded to ZVD by LG (with some Verizon add-ons like the power-on sound which is cool :)) and I wanted my data back from GSE, I went into CWM and did an advanced restore from the backup I did prior to returning the phone and it restored all my data, apps, wallpaper, etc back to how they were.
