I am having no luck getting any mail clients for work in FC18. I started using Evolution and it worked fine for a while and then it stopped downloading mail from my IMAP server.
I switched to Thunderbird and the application window disappears after awhile. It requires killing the process to restart Thunderbird.
I expect that this is a (low-priority) bug, but apport-bug strongly encouraged me to come here first, so here I am...
What I did: I started Thunderbird and then minimized the window. I
then middle-clicked on the Thunderbird icon in the Unity (3D)
Launcher.
I have managed to lose 'child' windows in Unity a few times.
For example, I started composing a new message in Thunderbird (so Thunderbird pops up the child window for composing the new message), and wanted to verify something in Wikipedia, so I clicked on the browser in the launcher (which was running in a different workspace) and it switched to that app/workspace.
I have Windows Live Mail (WLM) installed on my company computer. On the other hand, I also have Thunderbird installed on my Ubuntu Hardy Heron.
I have thunderbird installed in my 12.04 version. Whenever i forward any e-mail from my inbox it gets forwarded as a .eml attachment. How can i prevent this from happening, or alternatively how can i read .eml format files in mail???
Mozilla Thunderbird is the most popular open source email / news-feed client. It is free and available for all operating systems such as Windows, Mac OS X (Leopard, Lion..) and Linux based OS such as Ubuntu 10.10, 11.04, 11.10.
ok. 6 days in so far (didn't think it would be nearly this hard)
have a development server. just want to send emails from drupal/php scripts & have read them in some GUI mail reader
unfortunately, postfix + dovecot(??) + thunderbird = (so far) nothing but headaches
postfix seems to work, but can't figure out how to read emails, where they're going or exactly who is sending them.
I am running 12.04 64 bit. Thunderbird 12.0.1 is my email client. I've noticed something strange about the UI. The main window title bar that has Get Mail, Write, Reply, etc... buttons is light grey. The area above the tab/buttons is black.
When I open a new message and begin to compose, the Send, etc... bar is all black. No grey. Whats with this UI inconsistency?
Hey everyone!
I came across a small problem.
I use Mozilla Thunderbird for my e-mails and I have many e-mail boxes that I use Mozilla with.
How do I manage to open ALL unread messages from ALL my e-mail boxes im Thunderbird? Now I have to switch between them and open them one-by-one, but it takes lots of time.
Thank you for any help in advance!
