I'm having trouble adding a second email account to thunderbird 12.0.1.
I just upgraded to Ubuntu 12.04 and Thunderbird 13.0.1.
I had 2 accounts earlier in Thunderbird:
a..@i..net
s..@c..com
I also had another account on SeaMonkey:
a..@i..com
which I imported into Thunderbird.
Now the account order I want is:
a..@i..com
a..@i..net
s..@c..com
but it shows:
a..@i..net
s..@c..com
a..@i..com
I couldn't find any option in Thunderbird to sort them as I want.
I use thunderbird as my email client and there are many things that I like about it. My issue at the moment is that it is somewhat difficult to keep settings/messages in sync between different machines.
I am running Ubuntu Unity 11.10 and Thunderbird 10.0.2. I cannot find how to ask for a return receipt on select emails I send. I can go into account settings and set it to ask for a return receipt on all emails or none, but cannot find how to ask for receipts on just certain ones. Any suggestions?
Multi Email Notifier is a special software that can check many email accounts simultaneously. AOL, Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail, IMAP, POP3 and many other webmail address are supported by this Multi Email Notifier. Its a useful software to me because I do not have to open browser and check my emails one by one.
Good afternoon, all. I am running UB 11.10, Thunderbird 8.0. I am having trouble sending messages using STMP, via my Live account. I have verified that my settings are correct, to the best of my knowledge, and POP3 is working correctly.
Thunderbird can be used as a client for a Hotmail email account. Thunderbird will download messages from the Hotmail server and store them on your local system. Similarly, Thunderbird can be used to compose messages which are sent through Hotmail's mail servers.

I'm having difficulty upgrading Thunderbird (and also Firefox to some extent) and not loosing my profile, emails and calendar. There seems to be no recent information on this topic with regards to upgrade proceedures. I've upgraded to Mint Cinnamon and replaced the Thunderbird profile including the "profiles.ini" file.
