Since i'm new to Crunchbang and moreover a simple user (not a linux-addicted or so) here comes my, may a bit stupid, question:From years with LXDE on a Powerbook (G4) i'm used to pcmanfm and for some aspects i like it a lot (very clean, simple and easy).
Is it possible to view and copy files from other partitions with Thunar into the Crunchbang partition? I know you can with Nautilus in Mint but in Thunar I can't find any other partitions shown in Thunar but I don't know if I am supposed to be able to.Thanks.Brianrh
Ok, I think I have a fix. Deleting my Thunar config files helped. But here's the tricky part:You know the "~/.config/Thunar" directory? That apparently is not the Thunar config file location. Instead, I removed "~/.config/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/thunar*". After restarting Thunar, my Trash can worked correctly.
I'm working on an external USB HDD in Thunar. The /media/MOUNT folder now contains a ".Trash-1000" folder. I removed it with Shift-Del, created a dummy file and deleted it, and the folder re-appeared, so it's definitely created by Thunar. I've done some searching, but I can't find a way to empty the trash from within Thunar. Any ideas?
I'm having difficulty in #! unmounting USB drives (either via thunar itself or on the command-line). Despite no windows/applications/terminals being open, "lsof" reports that "thunar" is holding the drive active. Or otherwise it's "xdg-screen" (?). I'm having toumount /media/X -lall the time.
I'm using thunar and WMFS2 and I can only mount internal partitions from the terminal (using 'mount').If I try to mount any of my backup partitions from Thunar I get an 'Authorization required' error instead of being prompted for the root password.AFAIK, SLiM launches consolekit on its own by default, right?Flash drives and CDs/DVDs are mounted just fine, but not the inter

Ooh good one. I had an interest in this some time ago. For Thunar, I implemented four of the suggested actions.
