http://forums.fedoraforum.org – I've installed F18_64 on a x61 laptop for the beta DVD, I selected Mate for the DE and went through the discovery process of WTF and searching FF for the solution which i found. Now I want to enable the tap to select feature of my trackpoint and also install Virtualbox so I can test that for my user base. Configure-trackpoint has been the tool I've used in the past but it is not maintained since 2008. It requires a lost of gnome libs etc... which are not installed. So have others found a workaround? Virtualbox also requires dependencies and I usually install it via autoten which now has (HowTos)

My TrackPoint and all buttons are actually working on my Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 11" AMD1.4. For that, I have installed TrackPoint Scroll and ThinkPad Special Keys packages.

The only thing is that my track point is laggy every 20 seconds or so. It does not react for a second and then everything works well again.

hi everyone, the trackpoint was working with ervery version of ubuntu. i never had a problem, because i was doing what to need in order to work it. and now i think after i installed gpointing setting device had problem. now after turning off the laptop the settings in configure trackpoint are default. also the sensitivity and the speed of trackpoint are very slow.

How can I configure Lenovo ThinkPad USB Keyboard with TrackPoint? Pointing stick on my laptop (Dell E6400) and trackpoint on my another laptop (IBM X31) works fine, but I cannot make the external USB trackpoint scrolling to work.

I've installed Ubuntu on my Thinkpad L530 and everything's running pretty smooth except for the trackpoint (that red button in between the keys for moving your pointer) as well as the corresponding left/right mouse buttons below the spacebar.

I only find solutions to fix scrolling, which didn't work but that's not addressing the problem anyway.

I have a new thinkpad x220t running Arch Linux. There seems to be a problem in the products hardware architecture as the TrackPoint is moving when you convert the thinkpad into tablet mode and put pressure on the screen. Therefore I'd like to toggle the TrackPoint using a little bash script called by ACPId.

As someone accustomed to the thinkpad laptop keyboards I recently purchased Lenovo's ThinkPad USB Keyboard with TrackPoint (UK English). The device is plugged into my work machine which is a Dell Desktop.

All the key-mappings appear fine at the login screen.

I have detected the same issue when running Live CD or on clean install of 12.10 on ThinkPad T500. The trackpoint is not detected (both stick and buttons disabled, and not showing in GPointing Device Settings).
