Thermal shutdowns continue to occur

http://crunchbang.org – I know that overheating is a fairly common issue when using most (if not all) Linux distros because of proprietary drivers and what not, it's just that I love Crunchbang so much that I refuse to leave it!I recently opened my laptop, the heatsink is in good shape, reapplied paste, fan is working perfectly fine, idle temp is around 86C.I'm using an old Compaq presario CQ62 with a single core AMD 32 bit processor, I mostly use it only for homework (I'm a student) and still new to all things Linux, but willing to learn.When I turn it on again it usually hangs at: "Switching to (HowTos)
