Download the driver version 1.01 for your Canon Pixma MX300 for Windows 7 32 bit below. MX300 is a multifunction printer that provide print and scan capability. The Pixma MX300 is Canon’s entry-level, office-oriented all-in-one inkjet offering. At $100, we didn’t expect too much in terms of performance, but we were pleasantly surprised.
Just bought a Canon Pixma MX722 printer for the trailer. I checked, and it has LInux support from Canon. I did not use the driver that I just linked to, as the Canon USA site, when it detects my Linux system, tells me that the driver may be included with my distro. It is -- on my 14.04 machine.
I am running 12.04 LTS. I recently got a new PIXMA MG2520 printer and attempted to install the driver for it.
I first tried using something from GutenPrint, but that didn't install successfully. Then I found a post in UbuntuForums that had a link to a Canon driver for my printer for Linux (debian Packagearchive). That seemed to install okay, and the test page printed fine.
Here is the updated drivers for Canon MP990 XPS wireless series. This is the driver version 5.30b for Canon MP990 XPS All in one Printer for Windows Vista and Windows 7. If you have older version, please update your printer driver using this 5.30b version.
Do you know if there will be a driver created for the canon MG2900 series, or if there is a driver that is compatible with the MG2920 printer? I have tried the MG2100 series and the MG5100 series but neither seem to work. Since it is a newer printer, I just thought that maybe the driver has not been completed for linux yet.
