Hello. Its hard to describe but but I will try,
Actually whenever in my z1, a notification appears like Facebook msg, WhatsApp, Gmail,etc. The sound of them comes like stucked sound, I am on latest fmw. 757.. I installed it freshly.
I hope you understand my bad description..
Ok, I need a little help, as this problem has me stumped.
I wanted to set a custom notification sound, so I copied 2 new mp3 files to /sdcard/media/audio/notifications. Normally this should allow me to select those sounds as notification sounds from the sound settings, but this time it didn't work (I have done it successfully before).
I have set the sound in both 'Personalize->Sound->Notification Sounds->Calendar' and 'Calendar->Menu->Settings->Select Notification' to the same sound, but Calendar refuses to play the correct sound. It always plays some chime-sounding thing that doesn't get my attention at all. Any ideas how to fix this?

I plan playing a sound which is on a server online, just when the user gets a notification (via GCM).
Local sounds work fine with
notification.sound = Uri.parse("file:///sdcard/notification/ringer.mp3");
But if I want to play a ONLINE-sound, it will not work:
notification.sound = Uri.parse("http://www.MyServer.com/ringer.mp3");
Perhaps, it is a trick to play NO notification-sound and open an act
I'm looking for a notification sound that one of my old buddy's had on his galaxy note. I think the sound was called "oh my message" and the sound when you played it was "ohh ahhh". I think it was a stock notification sound. He beamed me the sound a while ago, but my phone recently got wiped and I no longer have it.
I have looked all over the web and I can't find it.
In my Settings > Sound, I can "preview" the Settings > Sound > phone ringtone by simply choosing any of the ones listed. So far so good.
Problem: When I do the same with Settings > Sound > default notification sound, the phone stays silent. It does not matter whether I touch one of the stock sounds or one that I provided myself (which used to work!).
Hi, I'd like to change the sound my phone makes when I get a Twitter notification. Currently, it makes the same sound as my text messages (my default sound). It's annoying, because I'm never sure whether I have a text or there's just a Twitter update. I'd like to change it so it makes a different sound, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how. I have a Samsung Galaxy S4.
This is weird, but it seems some apps have access to some notification sounds and not others.
Hangouts for example can't access it's own notification sound "Hangouts Message" from the message notification option, but under the video call notification option it can. Also the phone ringtone can be set to the "Hangouts Message" sound. But only those two apps can use it.
