The iPad mini was announced today as expected, and it is a super impressive piece of hardware, judging by my brief hands-on experience.
Hi All,
I'm a long time member of xda-devs since the original xda phone back in the early 00's. I had a second gen galaxy tab but ditched it for an ipad 3 as it wasn't quite the experience I was after. Now I've ditched the lead weight that is the ipad and am absolutely loving the Note.
I have a few questions...

Apple finally unveiled the iPad mini last week.
Really, this is probably due to my anxiety more than anything, but I have a constant paranoia about my phone and tablet not performing the way it should. Like, whenever I'm using my phone and I get a hitch or I'm typing on its keyboard and it doesn't register a key press or using the browser and getting lag or unresponsiveness, I automatically assume it's a virus.
Hello all. I am in the market for a new tablet and the Nexus 7 has caught my eye. A little background on me, I have been pretty invested in iOS since the initial iPhone and currently have an iPhone 4 and an original iPad. Needless to say I use iTunes pretty heavily. I am a little leary in jumping over to the android platform after all this time spent with iOS.
So I have until about the middle of next month to decide if I'm keeping this or getting something better. I started a new Sprint contract (welcome me to the club?) and the Photon 4G was free with new activation. I've always been a big fan of Tegra 2 devices, I used to own a Transformer but I had to sell it to buy college books.
My mom is older (75) and uses an iPhone and she wants a tablet now so she wants an iPad because she already knows how to use an iPhone (kinda). I want her to try android because I don't want to have to always be learning every iOS update to help her with her Apple products.

Hi. I talked my kids into wanting the note 10.1 over an ipad but since they are still young I want to be able to control what they can do. Anyone have experience running one of the parent control apps on this tablet? Most of the reviews are based on phones so I'm looking for some direct tablet experience.
These will be our family's first android tablets although I have a galaxy phone.
