Is there a plugin that will let me use a web cam when chatting with my MSN contacts in Empathy?

http://askubuntu.com – I use Empathy to chat with my friends. I can use the web cam with my Google contacts thanks to a plugin, so I want to know if there's a plugin also to the MSN contacts. I moved to Ubuntu 12.04 from Windows, and now I can't video chat with my friend using MSN Hotmail. I want to know if there's a plug-in that lets me do it. I downloaded one for Google Talk and now I can do video calls with in Empathy but only with my Google contacts. (HowTos)

Custom emoticons in Empathy 47 weeks 6 days ago

I'm trying to use Empathy instead of Kopete, I want to have access to my custom emoticons which I also used in Kopete. I installed them seperately and my contacts could receive them.

Is that kind of thing possible to do in Empathy? Besides the standard emoticons, can new emoticons be added and seen by other contacts?

I'm using Empathy 3.5.1 on Ubuntu 12.10.

Hi, A few months ago i started using GO Contacts. Back then, I had my contacts stored on my SIM. Later on, I moved all the contacts to the phone, and deleted them from the SIM. does anyone has a clue why the Logitech E3500 camera stream is displayed in some kind of distored or tinted image in GoogleTalk chat ? In both setup window and in the online video chat too.

google-talk plug-in displays the picture with lines and wrong colors in it, also the resoltuion seems to be different to standard. Is the plugin trying to adjust "wide screen" res.

Here's what is not happening that I'm trying to figure out (maybe it's not possible). I've synced my phone (galaxy s3) with google, so it has all my google contacts, and facebook so it has all those contacts as well. When I go to google contacts online (from gmail), only facebook contacts that I've linked to gmail contacts show up.

Hi All, I am running Ubuntu, with Apache http, and php. I want to set up a video chat server so I can communicate with people. I heard that empathy was a way to do that but I haven't found any tutorials. More often what I find is how to set up the empathy client. Is empathy what I should be looking at? Are there some good tutorials I am missing?
