Hi!I've been trying to compile usbip software for a long time without success (I tried really hard :()Have someone already compiled that software on latest Centos release?

I used this great software, but its old (10+ years) since the latest release, I compiled this on the kde 3.5 series, later I ve tryed to compile but it gives me lots of errors (i dont recall all of it)
but like not detecting libraries, not using programs already instaled.
i want to move from my Fedora 19 x64 Amahi to an LTS server distro. i don't really want to do it all from the beginning every 1-2 years. I'm leaning towards CentOS 7 but my main problem is that i want to have latest releases from Deluge and Transmission. As far as i know CentOS and Debian are slow to upgrade their software (in Debian deluge is still in 1.3.3).
I am by no means a compiling person, cause every time I attempt to compile software in Linux, there is always, ALWAYS something missing, then the hunt for dependencies begins, and before I know it, I've wasted hours.
I am trying to use this software, http://www.bolthole.com/freeha/ and compile it on CentOS 6.4 Minimal with the Development Tools group installed.
I need more info about compiling software from source code.
1) Where goes installed software after compiling ?
I read somewhere that compiled software goes to /usr/local
But I can't find it there.
I tried locate name but gives me a lot of confusing results.
2) Can i delete software unpacked directory (eg from home dir) after compiling ?
Can someone help me in or give me a solution ...
I want to send some ads through several addresses once (23.076 mails)
Does anyone know a script or software that can be installed on Linux (CentOS 6.4) and can send emails in a very short time???
For example "Interspire Email Marketer" but this script is take very long time to send 23 076 mails.
