Today’s the day. Our Northern meetup tour has officially commenced, and we’re kicking things off in the Great White North.

The event, which is taking place at Steam Whistle Brewery, is entirely sold out. So if you have one of the 1,000 ticket reservations, this is your one and only reminder to show up, drink some beer, and talk tech.

As the last stop on TechCrunch’s Northern Meetup Tour, we’re very excited to conclude with a Friday night party in the Windy City. Admission and booze are free.
The TechCrunch Northern Meetups are in two weeks! Toronto is sold out and Chicago and Detroit are nearly at capacity as well. Today, three suspected syrup smugglers were stopped in an attempt to cross the Canadian border from the U.S. The suspects, already-sticky from what appeared to be an on-the-road maple candy feast, claimed to be headed to a TechCrunch Meetup in Toronto, and gave authorities the names John Biggs, Matt Burns, and Jordan Crook.
