Hey, I have used #! for about 2 years on my Asus EEE PC 701 netbook. Started with hearing about cruncheee. Searched it, installed it and got used to using crunchbang. Crunchbang is nothing short but a work of art.
Since I am new I thought I would introduce myself. I am 32 and have been using Windows for 10 years. I currently live in the states. Utah to be particular. A year ago I took the plunge into Linux. I started with PCLinuxos and loved it. It was not fulfilling all of my needs and it was a heavy distro, so I went distro hopping. I landed on CrunchBang a few months ago and have not looked back.
Hi everyone, I am new with CrunchBang, but I have almost 12 years as linux user, I began with Red Hat, Mandrake, Mandriva and Ubuntu; but I was using a computer with CrunchBang, and it is very friendly. And that was the inspiration to learn (as much as possible) this software and start programming with Java and C++. I've just installed CrunchBang on my computers (3).Have a nice day
Today I happened to boot my CrunchBang liveUSB on someone's PC. He had never heard of Linux. I was amused by his question: "Is Linux black and white?".Some people (especially geeks) prefer dark themes, but most people don't. I could suggest something like my desktop or something like the Lubuntu default theme.
First of all...this is my first time using linux. i decided to install crunchbang side by side w/ win7 x64bit. so, i downloaded crunchbang lite, made the cd and installed from the live cd. after i installed to my laptop i restarted. the option came up to boot win7 or crunchbang. i started windows first just to make sure i didnt lose any information during the setup of
This is kind of a strange home-coming. While I've occasionally checked the crunchbang site and forums, it's been years since I actively used it (ie. 8.10 release).Back then, I wasn't thrilled about the direction that Ubuntu was taking, so I bailed ship for Debian a little before corenominal's announcement that crunchbang would be doing the same.
Hi, i'm a Crunchbang user for 3 months now, when i left Linux Mint. Right now i have Waldorf installed in my main machine (laptop Acer Aspire 5534) and everything run out of the box :D.This forum help me so many times (even after i start using #!) so i decide to sign in just to thanks all of you, the people in this comunity is really nice.
My name is Raven. I have been using Linux only for 2 years. The first year was Ubuntu based distros. Then I got bored with it and started trying other distros to see if anything grabbed me. 6 months ago I started using Sabayon KDE. All the while, I deep down wanted something cool. I came upon Crunchbang 10.
I might just ramble a little, but there is a point to it all ;)First a little about me.I've been a Linux user since about 2005, but just started using CrunchBang about a year ago. I distro hopped for several years before settling on Linux Mint main edition and LMDE as my distro's of choice. Since finding CrunchBang it has quickly become my distro of choice.
