TFS 2012: Backup Plan Fails with empty log file

http://serverfault.com – I have a Team Foundation Server 2012 installation with Power Tools, and I defined a backup plan using the wizard found in the "Database Backup Tools" in the Team Foundation Server Administration Console. I set the backup plan to do a full database backup on Sunday mornings, to another server in the network. I followed the wizard with no problems and the Backup Plan was set successfully. However when the backup runs it returns Error as result and when I go to the log file I only get the header and no further info: [Info @01:00:01.078] ========================================================= (HowTos)

I have setup a job that runs every night and makes a full backup of all databases on the server. During the day, another job makes differential backups every few hours.

The problem comes when a new database is created. The differential backup job fails every time, until the full backup job runs for the first time since the database was added.

I have a new SQL Server 2012 AlwaysOn Availability Group on Windows Server 2008 R2 Ent SP1.

I'm creating a Maintenance Plan on the Primary Replica which is supposed to do Full (non-copy-only) backups of the only User database.

The task is succeeding, the subplan is succeeding, but there is no backup file when it's done.

I get the same results when I delete the Maintenance Plan and re-create it

I read a lot about the cpanel backup, but did not find anything specifically. I only found backup the customer, it proceeds?

hello all,

i have the below script that we used to backup our DB using oracle's utility called RMAN. This has been working fine, but the issue is when the backup fails and we re-start it, it backups the whole thing again. Example.

lets say i have 5 database on my system(db1,db2,db3,db4,db5) and we use below script which loops for a file called /etc/oratab which has my DB names in it.

My previous provider offered a managed, automated disk image backup that ran nightly, so it was less of an issue. Now, using a dedicated server with an additional drive I plan to use for taking backups, what are the most effective options available for Xenserver?
