Hi, I don't really know a lot about kernels and its the kind of territory that generally puts me at unease. However, I'm running a non-PAE kernel (3.2.0-3-amd64) on my x121e. This means that I get 3 out of the 4gb ram. Not that I really need the extra 1gb, but I would like to get it. Is there an easy way of doing this?

<rant> Grrrrrrrr!

You do realize, you don't have to replace the stock kernel when you compile a new one.  You can install multiple kernels and their support files are in /lib/modules in directories defined by the kernel name.My system has 3 kernels installed.  The standard Arch kernel, the -ck kernel from AUR, and (Because you can take the boy away from Gentoo, but you can't take Gentoo out of t

I'm making the transition from my old Droid X to the VZW Galaxy S3, and I have a few questions. The flashing process between these two phones are quite different and perhaps another ex-Droid X user (or just an all around knowledgeable person) could help me out.

1. To my knowledge, we were never able to flash Kernels on the Droid X because of its locked bootloader.

I love AOKP but I wanted to try out some new kernels. I have tried Taimat and Aerovan's kernels. Whenever I flash them on my phone, my device slows to a crawl and the kernel version in setting remains the same. Could someone please help me fix this problem? Oh, by the way, if you have any kernel suggestions for the Droid Incredible 2 with AOKP, please post them. Thanks!

I have to work with another developer at a remote office, still within the same corporate network though.

I couldnt post in the kernel thread because I don't have enough posts yet..

I installed clean Rom a month or so ago and have been updating to the new versions ever Since, everything had been running perfectly on the stock kernel. I got the itch to try a new kernel and decided to try out the elemental kernel (later tried the beast mode as well).
