I have an old feature phone with no text plan. I'm not really in need of a smartphone, nor do I send a lot of texts so I don't really need to add unlimited texting to my cell plan, but it irks me to have to pay for each one I send or receive.
I haven't been getting my text messages for 2 days now. I had no idea until a friend told me she has been texting me several times with no reply. I can send texts but I'm not getting them?? I turned off phone... Removed SIM... Erased all old text messages...nothing worked. Any suggestions? Thanks
Yesterday my friend (who texts me a LOT of pictures of his kids) sent me a barrage of pictures and one video. Ever since then, texting him is excruciatingly slow. These things happen: 1) Just getting our text thread to open takes much longer. 2) When typing, some words get stuck and I have to wait until the word is completed.
I got my G3 yesterday. I can send/receive calls and I can receive text messages, but I cannot send text messages. Messages state "Sending" and then fail. I have rebooted, reset to factory, pulled the battery, and done an ancient smartphone dance, but nothing is working. Ideas?

Most of my friends and family have iPhones that are capable of receiving MMS messages. I'd like to be able to type longer messages without having them be broken up into smaller SMS messages, because they often arrive out of order when going to a different carrier.
Is there a way to force Hangouts to send MMS messages when the text is too long for one message?
