Is there a way to send and receive text messages using my N7 WiFi without having to pay for each text?
I have an old feature phone with no text plan. I'm not really in need of a smartphone, nor do I send a lot of texts so I don't really need to add unlimited texting to my cell plan, but it irks me to have to pay for each one I send or receive.
I haven't been getting my text messages for 2 days now. I had no idea until a friend told me she has been texting me several times with no reply. I can send texts but I'm not getting them?? I turned off phone... Removed SIM... Erased all old text messages...nothing worked. Any suggestions? Thanks
Yesterday my friend (who texts me a LOT of pictures of his kids) sent me a barrage of pictures and one video. Ever since then, texting him is excruciatingly slow. These things happen: 1) Just getting our text thread to open takes much longer. 2) When typing, some words get stuck and I have to wait until the word is completed.
Normally, up until yesterday, I am able to send pictures (from my camera on this phone) in a text message through Messsage Plus. I switched to Messages and still was unable to send photos in a text. I can send text messages, but just not pictures in a message. I spoke with Verizon and the rep advised me to clear the data by going to App Manager, etc.

I could send and receive text messages before and after few days I can no longer receive text messages but I can send them. Tested with 2 different phones with 2 different SIM cards but I didn't receive messages from either one.
I don't have any messaging related apps installed apart from Skype which I haven't launched after installation of it.
I got my G3 yesterday. I can send/receive calls and I can receive text messages, but I cannot send text messages. Messages state "Sending" and then fail. I have rebooted, reset to factory, pulled the battery, and done an ancient smartphone dance, but nothing is working. Ideas?
