Been searching for ages and have found plenty of forums with people who have this problem but no solution.

Sorry for bumping such an old post. But FYI. This problem *still* exists today. I can add a feed to liferea from firefox *only* if liferea is already running whitch *completly* defeats the purpose of adding a feed from firefox. If I need to manually launch liferea then I might as well just copy-and-paste the feed URL into liferea manually.
I am on gnome-shell 3.6 (3.5.91) right now. Whenever I use Thumbnail Zoom plus addon (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...ail-zoom-plus/) in Firefox, Firefox loses focus.
This does not happen in Xfce, LXDM or Unity. It only happens in gnome-shell.
Can anyone else reproduce this and should I file a bug report against Firefox or the addon or the gnome-shell?
