I have HP ProBook 4530s laptop with AMD Radeon HD 6490M graphics card.
As I remember, all the time, after fresh-installing Ubuntu on my HP ProBook 4530s, the Radeon graphics doesn't work, it uses Intel Sandybridge Mobile instead.
I am trying to update my graphics driver by running:
sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-intel
But I keep getting this message:
Some packages could not be installed.
Hi,
I am using Ubuntu 12.10 with GNOME 3.6. My system is Compaq Presario CQ3340IX which has an onboard graphics memory - Intel GMA x4500. But my ubuntu is not detecting it. In my System Settings->Details my graphics is shown as blank. Doesn't that mean my onboard graphics is not detected???
Screen flickers and scrolls and is unusable for the TVOUT/SVIDEO port on a intel D945GCLF2 with integrated 82945G/GZ GPU.
I disabled other displays and tried all available resolutions, with no success.
I also installed the following package:
sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-intel
then rebooted, and tried all resolutions, with no success.
This worked out of the box on a previous ubuntu r
I have a MotionComputing M1400 pen tablet. It runs Debian Squeeze, and today I noticed it was using software rendering for OpenGL, so I decided to try to use the intel driver. My chipset is the Intel 855GM. When I initially installed Debian, I had to modify xorg.conf so it would pick up my pen. That /etc/X11/xorg.conf is here.
This is getting really really boring!!!Is there any way to get rid of video tearing using fglrx?I have a hybrid system with intel hd3000(SandyBridge) and amd 6770m.
