http://forums.fedoraforum.org – using CDMA USB modem (Tata Photon+) for internet, which works perfectly in ubuntu and fedora. Also tried sucessfully on CentOS 6.2 i386, by installing drivers come with it. But on CentOS 6.3 x86_64, the driver fail to install, guess those are 32-bit binary and this is 64-bit. hm, i also know that there is usb_modeswitch utility which can be used. (As these modem also has memory card, so first system detech them as usb-mass storage, but need to switch to modem) download usb_modeswitch rpms and manually install them using rpm command # rpm -Uvh tcl-8.5.7-6.el6.x86_64.rpm # rpm -Uvh - (HowTos)
