Links directly to the android multitasking bit, it has been said many times that task killer apps are no good, I haven't used them since I read they were bad
But remember, the v6 supercharger is not s task killer, it is just changing the values at which android auto
hi :)
is there any app that blocks another apps to start. for example if i close the facebook app and remove it from the memory with the task manager, facebook starts after 10 seconds again. i dont mean apps like task killer that kill the app after it started. i hope you understand my question :)
Sorry for my bad englisch :)
I have implemented a countdown timer in an application of mine. It runs in the background fine and dandy, but when i use advanced task killer, it stops the timer and the only way to restart it is to open the application again.
Some apps continue to drain the battery even after it is closed. For example, I have the app Wikitude showing up as sucking up 12% under Settings -> Battery. I did the hold home button 2 seconds and swipe app to right side to close. I also tried closing the app with the task killer app Advanced Task Manager.
hello to all
i'm running the titan rom what is the best app to run. to kill program that run in the back ground that don't need to be running.???? or is the there a list of the ones that need to be running all the times. thanks
Read a fascinating article on Lifehacker about this. The link is below and I recommend reading the body of the article. The part that I find most interesting is:
In Android, processes and Applications are two different things. An app can stay "running" in the background without any processes eating up your phone's resources.
hey,
I have read on this forum that killing tasks uses more battery. How does this work? i dont have a task killer installed, but i do long press on the home key and swipe away apps that i am not using. Does this amount to task killing?
Hey everyone,
I have a Galaxy S3 which is rooted but running stock 4.0.4.
I'm aware that low available memory is a good thing and not bad for Android, but sometimes I have apps closing, then later re-opening, even if they have an icon in the notification bar.
Available memory usually ranges around 60-120mb and I'm not running a task killer.
Can anyone help?
My phone lasts for a good amount of time, but I checked today and one of the apps that's using around 34% of battery is Facebook. Even though I use a task killer to stop it it re-opens in the background using up battery power (even when I'm signed out). Is there anyway to prevent apps from doing this w/o being rooted? If there are apps that can help feel free to let me know please.
