My Dad is looking into buying my Asus TF101 off me to use as an in-car navigation and entertainment system.
One thing I would like to try and do for him is set up something that will turn the tablet off automatically after the car is turned off.
The tablet will be permanently connected to the 12V cigarette lighter socket via car charger.

The other night I had my tablet on charge over night the next day I started using and about 30 min later it just turned off. It would not turn back on so I plugged in the charger and after a few it came back to life and battery was at 2%. I opened up the battery use and it showed that it went from 90% to zero instantly.
I got yesterday a Galaxy Tab 3 and I want to be sure what's the best way for the first battery charge. On the shop, they told just turn it on, wait for the battery to finish and then charge it to 100% (3 times!).
When I got home I turned it on and the battery was at 50%.
Hi. This issue started three days ago. Bought this tablet brand new back in late February and it has been working pristine till three days ago. We have been having some humid 80F+ days here and my tablet will state it is fully charged and turn on to the home screen and then turn off and not boot up past the 'x' and will cycle through this twice or three times and then turn off.
so my tablet 2.0 wont charge, but when I do it has some kind of X mark through the battery, once it works I only have like a minute or so to use an app. I've had my tablet for like about 4-5 months. I dont know what to do with my tablet because im not sure if its the charger or if it is the battery! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!
My Nexus 7's (2013) battery was low so I decided to charge it. I plugged it in to a AC adapter and it showed that it was charging. The tablet's battery was decreasing! I decided to turn it off and charge it. I've been trying to fix the tablet for a while. It showed empty battery icon, LED light above the usb port was flickering 5 times. Then it showed no more sign of life.
Does anyone know of an app that can activate and deactivate the screen when it the charger is plugged in. I know the Nexus 7 already wakes when you plug the charger in, but i would like to be able to have the screen turn off when the charger is unplugged. I am mounting the tablet in my vehicle in such a way that the power button is inaccessible and the tablet is going to live in the car.
One of our family tablets is totally unresponsive. It's as if the battery is out. However, it won't recharge. The other, identical tablet can charge from either of the chargers, but the one in question can't charge from either charger. Therefore, it don't think it's a problem with the charger. It must be with the tablet.
