I have a problem with installing yum in CentOS (version 5.3, 64bits). My CentOS not yet install yum, so i can't install other package that I need. I found out one article that show how to install yum on CentOS (both 32bits and 64bits), but it doesn't work for me.
I have a dedicated server in another country (server4you.de). From their control panel I can install only CentOS 6.5, but I need Elastix 2.4 (or CentOS 5.x). So they told me to activate "Recovery mode" and then, from .iso, to install the OS that I prefer. They don't provide more information about this procedure.
I've started the recovery mode and logged into the server.
On my windows 7 desktop with the help of Vmware workstation (Version 7.1),
created virtual machine and installed Centos 5.7 successfully using ISO image.
Query : Is this possible to upgrade the Centos 5.7 using Centos 5.8 ISO image to Centos version 5.8?.. if yes kindly guide me the procedure to upgrade.
