You can see in this topic that you can have it fallback to a passphrase should the keyfile be invalid or missing. I wonder if you could modify the encrypt hook to require both, instead of falling back. Little more information on the encrypt hook here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Mk … ypted_rootI may start looking into this as well, as it's an interesting idea that definit

Hello,I do not master it, I'm actually struggling with it that's why I open all topics about it. .Regarding your questions, I don't know. I used other distributions, but not with full system encryption, I usually used Truecrypt for sensitive data. There are more systems, read here if you haven't yet: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Disk_encryption .
Hey guys, I want to use a dual-boot system: Windows 7 + Arch (windows being first on hdd). I would also want to encrypt them, but make it so I could access them with different passwords, like if I enter arch, i woudn't be able to see contents of windows, and vice-versa.
as the title says, I want to encrypt some 2tb external hdds.
truecrypt (realcrypt) does not support encryption of non-system volumes, I want to encrypt full hdds without creating a container.
is there any other software supporting "in-place" encryption without data loss (obv)?
btw, I'm currently running F17, how do I encrypt the home partition/system (missed the checkbox during

There are so many different ways of encrypting data, especially in Linux. My favorite method has always been using Truecrypt as it’s relatively easy to use and extremely effective. However, if you want to encrypt individual files, having to create a new container just for them might be a little impractical, especially when they aren’t similar files.
Same issue on my T420s.Tried to compile latest driver but it doesn't compile. Got an error saying something about IEEE80211_HW_BEACON_FILTER not defined. Don't really have an idea what it means.I'm still trying other ways found on internet.Anyone found a solution please shed me some light.
