On a previous question I have been told to use Banshee as a replacement for iTunes, which leads me to this question:can I upload movies on my iPhone using Banshee instead of iTunes?

I am new to Linux and while syncing my iPhone 4 iOS 5 with Banshee, I have transferred 2 gbs of music and then I could not see any music in my iPhone. I only realised shortly after that Banshee currently does not support iOS 5. However somehow the 2gb of music have been transferred into my iPhone, and I cannot figure out a way to delete this wasted storage.
I was trying to figure out how to transfer music files from my PC to iPhone 5 iOS7.
Unfortunately I failed to install iTunes on PlayonLinux and figured out how I could move those files from PC to iPhone using Banshee.
I could see my files in Banshee left pane when I click on my phone but I can't see it inside my phone.
What should I do in order see ( or maybe even move it ) it into the phon
Hi. I'm having an issue with putting content on my iPhone. I can mount its filesystem (which was an ordeal in itself, the thing seemed to unpair at random, but I think it's alright now) but if I launch Banshee while the filesystem is mounted, Banshee recognizes the iPhone then crashes shortly after. Otherwise Banshee works fine. I tried it with gtkpod and Rhythmbox as well, same results.
In Ubuntu 12.04 -
When I drag .mp3 files from Banshee 2.6 to my Mac-formatted iPhone 4s ios5.1:
a. Banshee says it's syncing with the phone, updating the media database, and the filecount on the phone is incremented;
b. The files show up under the device in Banshee and I can play them;
c. I can see them on the iPhone in a file browser;
I've searched everywhere to see if others had the same problem (both forums and general internet search). No luck.
I can run Banshee fine, import an iTunes music library, and play music. But when I plug in my iPod (Nano G5), instead of detecting the iPod, Banshee freezes. Now Ubuntu itself detects the iPod just fine.
When I plug my ipod touch in and open Banshee, The itouch is recognized and I can play music I had previously synced from itunes but when I click the itouch icon the scroll bars only come up on the screen for music, podcasts and audiobooks but not videos. I think that it may not work because most of my videos are AVI of FLV.
Banshee 1.5.2, aka 1.6 beta 3, was released with several new features and many fixes, including an iTunes importer, improved accessibility, reading/writing of playcounts and ratings, and more supported devices.
