http://www.talkandroid.com – For those of you who are worried about the increasing concern of malware hidden in select apps that make it into the Google Play store, you can rest easier knowing that Google and Symantec are hard at work trying to spot the culprits. Symantec has recently identified 29 apps containing malware that ultimately targeted Japanese markets. All the apps were removed by Google and seemed to have a common code so it is believed that one group is culpable for the offence. Once the corrupt app was installed to a users device, it would connect to a server to download the apps content but at the same ti (IT news)

Just read an article about a couple of apps being pulled from the play store because they contained malware where when you connect your Android device to a computer, it then activated the mic on your pc and recorded and sent to the malware distributor.

Google appears to be in the process of rolling out an update to the Google Play Store app, taking it up to version 3.9.16. Several improvements have been included that should be apparent once users get their hands on the update and start using the Play Store.

We’re all aware that that the Google Play Store is the place we go to peruse the thousands of apps to do everything from entertaining us to making our lives easier. If you happen to use Google Apps for your business however, today the Play Store was updated to distribute internal apps to your employees via the Google Play Private Channel.

I'm thinking about buying the Razr I - but I'm uncertain if the apps I use (and many apps in general) work?
