Sylpheed, a simple, lightweight and easy-to-use e-mail client, which features an intuitive user-interface designed for keyboard-oriented use, is now at version 3.3.Sylpheed 3.3 is an update of the stable branch and packs quite a lot of new features and changes.
I regret that I have spent a couple years in the Debian world. But now I am in OpenSuse, so hopefully my future will be shining and beautiful.
However, I am addicted to the Sylpheed mail client and I can't get it working in 11.1.
Hello!
Sylpheed shows me the arrival time of mails one hour out of sync with both the time on my local computer and of the online account, e.g. my computer and my mail account say a mail arrived at 10:00, Sylpheed states it arrived at 11:00.
Is there a setting to correct this? I don't find any.
Thank you very much,
Blutkoete
I have just installed Sylpheed as an email client and I cannot for some reason send email, only receive it; I have a hotmail account.
I get the following message:
Error
Can't connect to SMTP server: smtp.live.com:25
I've searched the internet for a solution, and although I've seen that other Sylpheed users have had the same problem, I've yet to find a solution.
I recently wanted to export my email address book from Sylpheed email client and import it into my Gmail account. Unfortunately, Gmail wants to import contact lists as CSV files, and there isn't an export-address-book-to-csv feature in the otherwise wonderful Sylpheed.
I have to admit I am an email junkie. I rely on my email client for keeping up with my work as well as my personal life. From my email client I require speed, power, and flexibility. When you think about email in Linux you think of three main players: Thunderbird, Evolution, and KMail.
Some webpages contain email links. If you right-click on the link in most Web browsers, a menu appears that lets you copy the email address to the clipboard (first screenshot). You can then paste the address into the To field of a new email message.
In recent versions of Mozilla's Firefox browser, you can also left-click on the link and get some action.
Is there an automatic way migrate a thunderbird mailbox to sylpheed while preserving the folder structure.
