The NSW Government has extended a WiFi service launched last June on Manly Ferries - and provided using New Zealand company Tomizone - to most of the ferries in its fleet.
Set to be a potential godsend to FireSheep abusers, 200,000 ferry passengers on Sydney’s 13 “First Fleet” ferries are now able to enjoy free Wi-Fi from today, with sensible limits to prevent leeching while still giving useful and useable Wi-Fi access.

Through a partnership with Italian startup WiMan, Uber in Italy now offers free Wifi service in every car through a 3G/WiFi hotspot in every vehicle.

US based pay-for-parking-by-phone service provider, Parkmobile, has entered the Australian market and is being trialled, initially, by Melbourne City Council and Manly Council in Sydney, and in New Zealand.
