Hello.. I observed that when my laptop's screen goes to sleep after its been inactive for a few minutes (I set it to 5 minutes in the power management gui), the wifi also disconnects. This is a problem if i'm downloading large files.
I am using lucid beta and the laptop is a thinkpad edge amd turion neo x2 version.
Hey all,
So I'm currently running Xenon 1.5 (4.2.1) paired with Lean Kernel 5.6, but this is an issues I've had on all 4.2.1 ROMs that I've tried. It seems as though my phone doesn't want to stay connected to WiFi even though it has a strong connection.
After the JB update, my wifi has been staying on during sleep. My settings are to sleep after 5 minutes of inactivity and for wifi to never be on during sleep. I also tried changing the setting to have wifi on only when plugged in and neither seemed to work.
Has anyone else experienced this after their JB update?
I've seen many posts/threads about Wifi issues with the EVO 4G LTE, but they all seem to fit in these categories:
- Bad Wifi signal due to poor antenna contact
- Wifi not working at all in an early ROM version

Is there a way to change ho
I was going to post this in the Networking and Wireless forum, but I learned that this issue is specific to the Compaq Presario V2000, so it's more laptop related.
My internet works fine on Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit), I always connect via the built-in wireless, and never had a problem.
sorry my problem is like a story but plz read it and help me plz

i am not able to get my wifi working consistently in ubuntu. At times when wifi is switched on in windows and I switch to ubuntu, wifi networks are recognized. But if i try and turn on wifi in ubuntu, there is no change. I get the message that the wireless is disabled by the hardware switch and indeed I see no blue light to indicate that the wifi is on.
I'm trying to set my wireless card to adhoc modus after the system starts.
