Hello everyone,
I have a questions related to the Galaxy S3.
I live in China and I bought my GS3 here. Of course like many I want to update my phone to the latest android version which is Jellybean. I should be able to update it through Kies but it's not working as Kies doesn't seem to find any update available.
So my first question is: why? Is it because my phone is rooted?
I am about at my wits end! IEverytime I open Kies, it says.......Please update latest version of Kies and then update firmware. So, I try to update kies and it fails everytime. It either says that there is a network error, that the process has stopped, that it already has the latest version installed, or it starts and then stops within 5 minutes with only 3% completed.
my galaxy s2 is GT-I9100. i saw a jellybean update is on kies so i did the update. However after i did the 4.2.1 update, i found out my CSC was changed! before the jellybean update, it was TGY(HongKong) after the updates, it changed to XSP(Singapore)...WTF.............
Also i cannot change the CSC anymore.

if you are having phone problems i feel bad for you son, i got 99 problems and your phone ain't one!
but if something goes wrong i will do my best to help. i just thought it sounded fancy.
so as usual i'm late to the game in updating to jellybean.
To make a long story short, I had to reinstall the OS on my S2 with what I thought was the stock version. When I connect to Kies I get a message saying that the firmware version can't be upgraded using Kies. Does this mean that when the Jellybean update becomes available (next month supposedly) I won't be able to update?
Hi
Please can someone stop me from tearing my hair out and throwing my phone out the window!!!
My Gs2 did the software update to Jelly Bean this morning.....I tried to put all my widgets back and phone froze and now all I keep getting in the error message "Touchwiz home has stopped working"!!!
Hello Just wondered if anyone could help. I have unrooted Galaxy S3 and have just gone to complete latest update via Kies. All was going smoothly, download to phone was complete, when error came up on PC USB device not recognised. :( Have updated the drivers via Kies but left with phone saying "Downloading Do not turn off target." Worried now about rebooting phone.
I have been trying to update to JellyBean all day long with Kies. I repeatedly get to a third "Firmware upgrade progress" screen and then it gets stuck at 0% on my computer and my phone says "Downloading... Do not turn off target!!" This is probably the 4th time I have tried it with the same results.
I have this Samsung galaxy s blaze 4g. Its an unlocked phone from USA and I am presently using it in India.
I wanted to update the same to ICS from the default gingerbread OS.
