http://androidforums.com – I have a GT 19300 v4.1.2 and all was well until a week or so ago. W7 64-bit Now when I connect the phone to my PC (W7) the system sees it and tries to install drivers but then gives a message saying the it failed to install them. Device manager now shows my phone as an unknown device and it didn't before. I don't think this is a cable or a Kies problem, because I've installed and uninstalled Kies and tried a new cable. I haven't done a reset because many other people tried it and all it did was waste their time :-( I have the Samsung GS3 Int ToolKit and it installed the lates (General)

After updating with XWLSD 4.1.2 JB Stock ROM, I am unable to connect my phone with KIES.

1. Cable is original supplied with the phone 2. I uninstalled and re-installed KIES 3. It is charging in USB mode 4. Have ran KIES troubleshooting, it reinstalled the drivers, but no result 5.

I'm from India and using Galaxy S3 now.

My phone (Galaxy S3) fails to recognize on Kies. I'm doing everything correct , but still it is not showing in Kies.

Previously it worked for me, but now its not at all.

Kies show this error message :- "Unable to connect to GT-I9300.Failed to retrieve device information."

I've installed all the drivers successfully.

I have spent the last 4 hours trying to connect my S2 to my Windows 7 32bit machine. I have read every single thread on here about the issue, and they all state "install Kies, it will fix the issue".

I already have Kies installed.

Hi, I cannot get ODIN or QPST to recognize my phone.

I have DK's CM10 RC0 Nightly ROM, installed the drivers many times (and uninstalled many times) - both Kies and regular drivers.

I kept hitting SOFTWARE UPDATE to update to ICS. Stupid me... the rep told me I had to install Kies. Naturally Kies doesn't work under linux. In fact, it also doesn't work under Windows.

The OS sees the tablet and installs drivers. Kies sees that the tablet connects, brings up the connect screen, then sits there and does nothing else. This happens on two Win 7 computers.

Can anyone assist me with this please?

When I first connected my Note to a PC with a USB cable, I could see and browse the phone with Windows Explorer.

Since installing Kies Air on my PC I can no longer see the phone in the Explorer Tree nor can I connect via USB using Kies.

Kies has automatiocally re-installed USB drivers but this hasn't helped.

Hi,

I got my phone back from Samsung service with Jelly Bean (4.1.2) installed. When I try to connect with kies, it recognizes the phone, but fails to connect. The software times out and keeps attempting the connection. I have uninstalled kies, cleaned the computer registry with CC cleaner and re-installed kies. Still won't work. Any suggestions?

Hi I have rooted my SGS3 using the ALLINONE root from SGS3 Toolkit (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1703488) and it works fine. About a month ago I got a notice about a firmware update and I installed it using kies. The root ofcause dissappeared but I used the toolkit to re-root the device. No problem so far.
