Galaxy Nexus(Verizon CDMA)
ICS 4.0.4
Build number: IMM30B
Unlocked
Not rooted
I was hoping someone here might be able to help me with my Galaxy Nexus. My Mac, PC, or Linux box won't recognize my phone anymore. I've tried multiple battery pulls, cords, driver updates(Windows 7), an have wiped the phone.
I am getting a Galaxy Nexus tomorrow in a trade. My S3 for a Galaxy Nexus 32GB plus $90 cash. It's the Verizon i515 model. I was thinking about rooting it when I got it. I also have some questions about it, though.
1) I heard from a friend that has the Galaxy Nexus Sprint model, and he said I have to unlock the phone before rooting it.

Regards,
i have a galaxy nexus Verizon i have had many phones unlocked rooted and romed many of them but i have never had this problem before i whipped data and both cache then i flashed the paranoid droid rom on my phone the other day then the gapps they provided rebooted and then rebooted my phone and never got any service so i put my sim card in my galaxy s3 and still no service looked online at the Ver
I received my phone earlier today and while obviously I can't say anything about battery life yet I wanted to add my initial impressions of the new Nexus as an owner of the previous Verizon variant.
I am ready for an upgrade on Verizon and can't quite make up my mind on what I want. I'm coming from a Motorola Droid 4 and debating between Galaxy S3, Galaxy Nexus, wating for Galaxy Note 2, or waiting for the next Nexus.
I know the Nexus is old news but I love my Nexus 7 and still want something that will have plenty of developer support.
I have a Verizon Galaxy Nexus that I bought on ebay about a week ago. itcame with no SIM card. So before doing proper research I bought a straight talk sim/umlimited plan.
1.) They sent me the wrong size sim card so i had to cut it down to fitmy vzw gnex...
2.) surprise surprise...my gnex wont recognize my sim WHICH also btw has had my old cricket phone number already ported to it.
It is common sense that the longer a phone sits on the market, the more the value is depreciated. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is a great example of this. Upon release, I remember the phone selling for well over $250 on a two-year contract, and over $600 to purchase the device without any agreement. Luckily the folks over at Verizon Wireless have made a deal to good to refuse.
Hi!
i own a samsung galaxy nexus verizon phone and i unlocked and rooted the phone. My question is how do i get a signal? Is it possible to buy a verizon lte sim off ebay and pop one in, and expect a signal? I was hoping to use this phone as a 3g with pageplus, but I'm not sure how to go about this. Im not a verizon customer, i didn't realize these 4g phones are this complicated!!
