http://androidforums.com – ok so I went ahead and connected my Samsung galaxy s3 to my computer via usb to transfer pictures and I was uber-disappointed to see that my computer did not detect the phone as a usb mass storage device. so I've searched the web and had the misfortune to discover that apparently it's not possible to connect the galaxy usb mass storage device like a usb stick which most people have these days and which most if not all phones are capable of. so how do you enable the usb mass storage transfer mode on the galaxy s3?????? cheers! Okay, USB Mass Storage mode, what about it?

My Galaxy Note 5.3 with ICS has it. My Galaxy S3 with ICS does not have it.

I've been Googling for hours, and getting nowhere. The Samsung website says the N8000 has "USB Mass Storage Mode". But two posters on XDA say that it does not.

What I like to do is keep my PC file directory synced to my Samsung device.

I wonder why the S2 needs the tricky menu navigation to enter each time the mass storage mode. :mad:

I wonder if there's a patch/trick/app to enable USB mass storage mode as default, that is you plugin the cable and the phone is directly connected in mass storage mode

I tried many things like USB mode switcher from market, tried running manually script: setprop persist.sys.usb.config mtp,adb - but no success... It just connects in Mass Storage mode. Hello, Yesterday I was able to connect my Samsung Galaxy S4 using Android File Transfer to my Mac OSX 10.8.3. Now today I can't get it to work. Any tips? Hi all, my new galaxy s4 just arrived and am trying to sync music from my itunes using double twist and it ask to turn on the mass storage option. pulling down the notification bar, the only option i get is 'connected as a media device', selecting this produces 2 options: media device and camera.
