Just got a replacement phone from Sprint and have activated it.
Wanted to do a simple HTCDev.com unlock for the ability to do a few things that require root..
From being powered off, I hold down the Down Volume and them press and hold the Power button but that doesn't work...
So my phone was rocking Beans Custom v8 and running fine and then today I connected my phone to my Mac and deleted a couple of folders from the internal SD card that I was positive were just junk and left important ones such as clockwork etc. Anyways, today phone shut off at the beach and won't turn on.
I recently acquired a Samsung Infuse.
Well, i made some poor decisions in the order of rooting and installing and uninstalling software, and i ended up with no launcher. No big deal, just use recovery and install it via update, right? Well, i didn't have clockwork mod or any other recovery installed before this happened and the samsung recovery won't recognize the update.zip file.
Hello ,
I am running T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S3
I was installing wanam-lite ROM , my phone was rooted already and I flashed myself into ClockWorkMod Recovery.
When I tried to install the .zip file I can an error that said.
"assert failed:write_raw_image("/tmp/boot.img","boot")" error"
So I then backed out of the whole recovery and selected reboot phone
I rooted my phone by odin method . Flashing clockwork mod recovery over stock recovery . And somehow I was able to install Superuser.
But now when I try to reboot in recovery it takes me to stock recovery mode not custom recovery.
I tried both recovery and they work for a while and after some time they dont.
Why is this happening ?
Su is working fine and I m on UVLH2 .
Hi,
I am trying to flash my LG P500 to Cyanogen Mod 9 and the manual I found stated, that I should partition my SD card using Clockwork mod.
So I found ROM Recovery app in Google Play and installed it.
*built for valueforvalue originally, but i'm sure some of you need fat32 support too*
download the correct version for your phone
A_fat32_cwm_recovery.rar
M_fat32_cwm_recovery.rar
1) unrar the file and copy recovery.img to the root of your sdcard
2) flash as normal using adb at pc command prompt / phone terminal
Code:
adb shell
su
flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img
reboot recov
My phone is stuck in Odin Mode and it gives a message that says that firmware upgrade encountered a problem and to connect it to Kies, I have tried holding the volume buttons at the same time as the power button to go into recovery mode but it doesn't work, it shows the samsung logo for less than a second and goes back to Odin Mode.
So I flashed Paranoid-Android Jellybean and it just screwed up my phone. I had to use Odin to bring it back to stock. Now I've got it almost back to where I want it but I can't for the life of me get CWM recovery onto my phone.
