Support Turn off vibration for notifications and NOT messages

http://androidforums.com – Hi y'all. I had to turn off the vibration/sound for notifications on my phone because the spam messages at night kept waking me up. However, I want it so that my phone can vibrate on receiving text messages when on vibrate mode. Unfortuantly, if I turn off vibrate for notifications, the text vibrates don't work either. Is there a workaround? (General)

Hey. I've had this problem with my Xperia Mini Pro ever since I bought it. When the sound is on, I don't want it to vibrate when receiving a text message. When the sound is off, I want it to vibrate. This is exactly what I chose in the Settings > Sound menu.

Hi all, like many others I was looking for an app that would allow me to quickly (i.e. with a widget) turn the vibration off at night, and silence everything but the ringer and alarm. I was using MyProfiles, but since the JB update the phone continues to vibrate even with the vibrate off option set.

I have had my LG Connect for about 3 months now, and I have never had this problem until now.

I can't make my text messages totally silent. I have it on silent with the vibrate settings set to "Never", but still whenever I get a text message, it vibrates. I have tried changing the vibrate settings to "Only when not on silent".

I'm running MeanBean. I have the 'vibration for calls' unchecked, which from what I know should stop notifications from vibrating as well. Any thoughts? At work I like to have my phone on the lowest volume but that vibrate makes so much noise.

Whenever I get a notification it will sound AND vibrate. I want to have sound WITHOUT the annoying vibration.

Where on earth do I find the setting for this???

I am running clean install of CM10 26/09/2012 (but this issue is present in earlier nightlies as well). My phone is set to vibrate when ringing, and link the notifications and ringer volume. When I use the power widget (pull down status bar) to put my phone to vibrate only, I'd expect phone calls AND notifications vibrate. However, only phone calls vibrate, the notifications don't.

I hate how each app on android has it's own vibration setting for notifications and it is always either on or off. Is there an app out there that will toggle vibration on/off for all apps?

Perhaps just an app that vibrates whenever any notification from any app is received.

Every time I receive a notification of a new email my phone vibrates and I can not figure out how to get it to stop.

I have opened my email and gone to Settings -> Clicked on my gmail account -> unchecked vibrate and email notifications

But they persist, its like the email in the notifications and the email app are two separate things, but I can't find where to turn the other
