I've searched for a similar problem and couldn't find one, so here goes. All help will be greatly appreciated. My daughter has a stock TB and is using Handcent for texting. This issue occurs with both the stock texting app and Handcent. She has one friend that she knows is sending her texts, but she isn't receiving them.
Hi! My Thunderbolt does not receive large SMS in either the Handcent App, (I had to download Handcent because the stock texting app on my T-bolt would send my texts to whomever it wanted to and not my intended recipient), or the stock app. It only accepts texts with about 160 characters or less and doesn't split larger texts into 2+ messages.
Is there any chance the native SMS/MMS app will ever get fixed to do group texting. I know there are apps like GoSMS and handcent but I would prefer to use the native Android app.
I am currently stuck using Verizon's Group Texting and and it works better then all the rest of the apps available but it's real fugly!!!
Just hoping someone has some news on this Android issue.
i just bought my samsung admire yesterday and got it activated on metro texting worked til bout 10 lastnight and now i send a text and the person dosnt get it and i cant receive the text messages but all the other service things work any help what 2 do

I'm having an annoying problem with Handcent. Please read below to see what is going on as described by someone else on a different forum who is experiencing the same problem as I am.
"I have a Handcent thread with PersonX, but I have also received group messages from PersonX (I'm part of the group).
My phone will not vibrate on texts with tha app I use (handcent) also voxer won't... all other apps and functions vibrate fine, even after a reset and OS update nothing... are there any tricks or ways to fix this, I have even tried other messaging apps and none vibrate, but friends with tha same phone and apps have no problem...
Only about half of my contact's photos show up when texting using Handcent. Anyone know how to fix this?

Well, my question is, is there anyway to customize or modify the display?
I've used both Handcent and GoSMS, and like the customization options. I don't expect the stock app to go the extent, but is there anyway at all to at lease change the color or something?
Hey there, I've been looking for a way to fix this for a few days now and im stumped.
Im using Synergy rom, juice defender ultimate and handcent. My problem is when I receive MMS messages while connected to wifi I have to manually disable wifi then re-open handcent and download the message again. Same with the stock messaging app. It seems handcent doesnt like to use wifi.
