Support Strange lock screen issues

http://androidforums.com – Hi all, I was wondering whether anyone else has experienced these strange issues with the lock screen. 1. When I press the lock (sleep) button on the side of the phone, the screen turns off, but often when I put the phone down straight afterwards it comes back on by itself. There are no notifications, messages, battery alerts etc either, it just unlocks and sits on the home screen. I'm not talking about the screen which pops up when you wave your hand over the phone either (I'll call this the purple screen) - the phone just unlocks itself and sits on the home screen shortly after I've lock (General)

I don't use any lock screen and I always use the home button to wake my phone up.

Since official JB, the home button not only wakes the phone up but it closes the app I'm in.

I have selected this as my lock screen but I dont get any of the notifications on the screen. I have phone, text and email checked. Had the phone away for about an hour, returned and saw that I had a missed call and a few texts but none of them were displayed on my lock screen. Am I missing something?

Hi all -

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 4G. 3g, 4g, WiFi all work fine during use.

My problem relates to 3g/4g ("mobile internet") turning off when the phone has spent >3 minutes in the lock screen.

I can get 3g/4g to turn back on by clicking the home button/power key and then also entering my pattern to pass the lock screen.

Sorry, I am new to android. When I setup lock screen and turn off, the screen does not have the lock screen I setup when I turn it back on. It still show the swipe screen, no pin lock or password screen. Now if i power off and reboot then it show up. Also if I set up a type of pass lock then I can't use the lock widget anymore. It just won't show when I scroll right or left.

I was listening to music and the phone's display turns off after 30 seconds and I use the home button to wake it. The thing is it sometimes doesn't take me to the lock screen and just takes me to the app I was using, which is annoying since I pressed the home button and it then takes me to the home screen. Does anyone know why the phone wouldn't always lock when the display shuts off?

is there anyway to lock this phone so when its in your pocket and you're jamming out to some tunes, the screen doesnt turn on or the volume doesnt change? I've had this phone unlock it self and its beyond annoying. Also the screen will be off, phone locked, and if i get an email or text or what ever, the screen comes on every time. It didnt bother me at first but its starting to get to me now.

Ok so quickpic so far has been awesome until now!

i go into quickpic to set images as either home screen or lock screen wallpapers

i do this:

open quickpic open the folder with images (download) select the image (brings it up on screen) press soft key then set as select lock screen the crop box comes up, i dont do any cropping i then press the save icon in the top right hand corner press the h

Sometimes when I use the power button to unlock the screen saver, the pattern lock screen is off center. It's so far off center I can't enter the pattern to unlock the phone. I have to press the power button twice to get a new pattern lock screen that is centered.

I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this with their phone. I've got Executive Assistant running under the lock screen.

I've noticed that in the mornings when I turn on my phone, it shows the weather and two buttons, I think one is called Forecast. It doesn't show my dock bar.

The problem is that I have my lock screen set to show my contacts, not the weather. Once I unlock my phone and then re-lock it, then it works properly.
