I'm from India and using Galaxy S3 now.
My phone (Galaxy S3) fails to recognize on Kies. I'm doing everything correct , but still it is not showing in Kies.
Previously it worked for me, but now its not at all.
Kies show this error message :- "Unable to connect to GT-I9300.Failed to retrieve device information."
I've installed all the drivers successfully.

I got my phone back from Samsung service with Jelly Bean (4.1.2) installed. When I try to connect with kies, it recognizes the phone, but fails to connect. The software times out and keeps attempting the connection. I have uninstalled kies, cleaned the computer registry with CC cleaner and re-installed kies. Still won't work. Any suggestions?

After updating with XWLSD 4.1.2 JB Stock ROM, I am unable to connect my phone with KIES.
1. Cable is original supplied with the phone
2. I uninstalled and re-installed KIES
3. It is charging in USB mode
4. Have ran KIES troubleshooting, it reinstalled the drivers, but no result

I am about at my wits end! IEverytime I open Kies, it says.......Please update latest version of Kies and then update firmware. So, I try to update kies and it fails everytime. It either says that there is a network error, that the process has stopped, that it already has the latest version installed, or it starts and then stops within 5 minutes with only 3% completed.
Galaxy SII, GT-I9100, Android version 4.0.3, not rooted.
Windows 7 Enterprise sp1 32 bit.

Until recently when I updated to Kies_2.5.0.12094_28_8 I have had no problems what so ever with my phone or Kies.
(A note, when I plug the phone to my laptop without Kies started, I can browse my phones content.
First I have a unroot and unlocked galaxy s2 skyrocket, I tried several times upgrade my galaxy s2 skyrocket to ICS through Kies Software but every time I have the same issue.
After Kies says that there is a new firmware to my device and ask me if I want to upgrade, Kies starts to download and reach the 100% but after that nothing happens, the phone reconnect again to kies and say the same thin
Hello Just wondered if anyone could help. I have unrooted Galaxy S3 and have just gone to complete latest update via Kies. All was going smoothly, download to phone was complete, when error came up on PC USB device not recognised. :( Have updated the drivers via Kies but left with phone saying "Downloading Do not turn off target." Worried now about rebooting phone.

I got my S3 about a week ago and I love it! I've had a couple of issues with my device though but I did find solutions for it.
Kies won't connect to my device: I've tried everything to fix KIES, uninstalling, re-installing, troubleshoot, kies mini, and to no avail. Not once have i seen a post for an alternative to kies. I have and still have a problem with Kies.
I went to samsung.com/us/kies and downloaded kies for windows.
I have win8 64 bit.
It installed fine.
During the install, it mentioned something about installing additional/universal driver, but suggested that it wasn't necessary if I'm running android on my phone (which I am), so I unchecked it.
After, when I plugged in my phone, I got an error: " Attention: unable to find software on
