I just got this phone a couple days ago and at first calling someone worked fine, but now when I try to call someone I get an automated message asking me to redial the ten digit number I'm trying to call. At first I thought it was just their phone, but it does it for any call I make. I don't know if I accidentally changed a setting or something, but I can't figure out how to change it back.
I have a new S3, SCH-I535 with Android 4.0.4
When I am on a call, if I receive a 2nd call and answer. After I am done with the 2nd call, I tried to end that call keeping the first call open but amazingly it ended both the calls.
After that I've tried to this in different ways.
When I try to answer a call when I'm already in a call this pop up window come up. It askes me if I want to end the current call or place it on hold. It's especially annoying when I'm driving. Swiping the screen is already confirming I want to accept the call, why do I have to double confirm. The pop up box is so small and when I have my phone mounted it's hard to aim the selection.
Recently I've noticed a problem that I most certainly didn't have before. The problem is that the in call volume keeps going down to around 50% with every new call. When I receive or make a call, the in call volume is around 50%, which is not enough for me. So I make it louder to 100% and can talk just fine.
Last night i decided to odin to stock Jb because I had read that you should do this to ensure all partitions were flashed. I had already flashed new frosty rom with official jb base and everything was fine, but now for some strange reason my phone will not call my wife. As great as this sounds it is a problem as I do need to call her from time to time.
I hate to make a phone call with an android. I need to press 4 or 5 symbols on the screen before the phone finally calls my friend.
There must be an easy way to call people, for example when driving? Voice control is not an alternative (too hard to get the device to understand...).
Have searched but not been able to find this as one of the one x many faults, often the out going call connects but sounds very distorted like way to much volume it then drops the call, if the person calls back its fine, it is not possible to make another out going call without restarting the phone, its getting to be a right pain, have reset phone had latest update still the same ?

I have been having some problems with my HTC One X a bit lately while on phone calls. When I make a call (non-speaker phone) or im on the phone, and I want to check out a message or another app, I am having problems with this. It brings me back to the unlock screen, but when I try to touch the screen to unlock it, it goes back to black.
I am on Mazda's Dirty Unicorns AOPK ROM. And I can't get to my voicemail. When I call it by holding down the 1 on the dialer I get a VM message saying I don't have enough money to make this call. Which is weird cause I do have enough minutes to call my voicemail.
I mean I can call other people so why can't I call my voicemail.
