I have a Galaxy S2 running the latest firmware and I am having an issue with the way the default email app works and cannot seem to find a work around.
I have 3 accounts setup (gmail, gmail apps, exchange) and I would like to know if there is a way to show only the gmail accounts in the combined mailbox.
In addition is there a way to show only the number of unread messages in the gmail acco
Hi all,
I need help , I turned off vibration notification on both the Email and Gmail app settings, yet for some reason whenever i get a new email (i have the phone set to vibrate mainly) I still get a vibration on Gmail. Basically I just want the LED and message to show up in the notification bar without any vibrate.
I have my own domain name and webhosting, and I use IMAP email with that.
I think Android doesn't allow you to do that kind of email. It only allows four types of email accounts: gmail, hotmail, Yahoo!, and AOL. Is that true?
I couldn't use my own email last time I had Android, which was when I had a Verizon Motorola Droid II in 2011. I had to use gmail...ugh.
I belong to some email groups on groups.yahoo.com. Every time you send a message to the group, everyone on the group list receives it. Therefore, when I send a message to group, everyone, including me, should get it.
However, my Gmail is displaying everyone's messages except mine. I see all of their messages in my inbox, but my messages to the group never arrive.
Finally got my sgs3 ..moved from iPhone after 7 yrs!!
So obviously trying to learn android. The stock email app works fine for my gmail..but for my iCloud email account it doesn't support push. I need the email delivered instantly to my inbox similar to gmail or Microsoft exchange.
Tried other alternates like k9 mail. It seem to work ok for iCloud but the interface is not very nice.
Hi I have a Galaxy Nexus on CM10 jellybro.
When I receive an email with gmail app it shows the email subject and (at least part of) the message body text in the notification pulldown.
Is there a way to hide this? Without disabling the notificatins entirely. Would be nice if it would just say "1 new email" or whatever.
Thank you =)
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S3. For some reason, all of my emails from gmail are automatically marked as read and I receive no notifications when a new email arrives. I can go days thinking I haven't received a single email unless I go into the app and see all the emails I have received over the past few days (which were somehow marked as read upon delivery).
This is my first android phone, SPrint Galaxy Note 2. My Google Account thus the play store email address is not associated with any gmail email, and I do have a few gmail accounts I want to put in to the stock gmail app. Problem is when I try to start the stock gmail app, it wants to automatically attach to my Google Account email.
Can I delete the app and re-install?
Hello all,
I'm having problems with my email server setup.
I've installed postfix, and courier. As well as SquirrelMail to access the mail. I can send and receive just fine with a few other email servers I tested. But I fail to receive any email from gmail.
