This is my first android phone, SPrint Galaxy Note 2. My Google Account thus the play store email address is not associated with any gmail email, and I do have a few gmail accounts I want to put in to the stock gmail app. Problem is when I try to start the stock gmail app, it wants to automatically attach to my Google Account email.
Can I delete the app and re-install?
We have 2 Optimus V's. One is rooted (rooted only, did not change ROM), and the other is not. The rooted phone was rooted several months ago and has been working fine. Now, telephone and text works, but everything else does not connect. Mobile data is on and 3G is at top of screen with 3 or 4 bars of signal. When I go to email, it stays on loading.

I was looking to Root my new (Referb) phone from PlatinumTel
The phone Samsung Galaxy Prevail that came from PlatinumTel ($54.00) was already Rooted but I had to download the superuser from the Google Play market before I could use the Tools.
I verified the root access then used Rooted tools successfully: Titanium backup, adaway, Link2SD etc.
I rooted my Samsung rugby phone to get rid of the crap ware, I had it perfect but I couldn't stop playing around and I accidentally deleted Google Play (Market).

Hi All,
I have rooted my phone. I had downloaded LINK2SD application from Google Play. I have deleted all unwanted space consuming pre-loaded applications.
One of them was "Samsung Account". The phone was all fine untill yesterday. One of my friend accidentally put "Factory Reset".
The idea of using your phone as your wallet is a great one, but Google Wallet is proving to be a bit of a security nightmare. It looks as though Google has thrown up their hands on rooted devices, at least for now, and put a warning in the Google Wallet app of unsupported devices.
pretty sure i crashed my phone and need to reinstall operating system. I tried to fix it by reinstalling market place directly from usbstorage. Phone is a day old. The original problem i had to was that google play was not showing up after i rooted phone and again I am still learning the ropes with android os. I obviously messed it up bad.
