I have a problem with the system detecting my Sony Walkman NWZ-E436F. When I plug the device, the player's screen says 'Connecting'.
However the device is mounted as removable device.
Is it possible the aforementioned device to be recognized as an MTP device by rhythmbox automatically when is connected to the PC?
Hello everyone, can I ask a quick question about a Samsung phone? I cannot get Windows to recognize the phone when I plug it in. It says "USB Device Not Recognized" and I cannot find a driver online to get it to see the phone. It belongs to my nephew, he said it had been rooted, and he accepted an over-the-air update from BoostMobile and now its pretty hosed up.
I'm running Win XP SP3 and every time I plug the USB cable into my computer, XP displays that the USB is an unrecognized device. Therefore I can not put any files on my phone. Is this a common issue? Am I missing crucial drivers?
I have also tried using HTC Sync Manager but it still will not recognize my phone.
After OS reinstall of Windows 8, Samsung galaxy S3 not recognized by computer. Tried Kies, tried 4 USB cords, tried device manager. Computer recognizes everything else but my phone and it charges well via USB. Downloaded latest drivers via Samsung also. Help!!!

I would like to view my phone's (or at least my sd card's) contents in SpaceSniffer, and I can't do that now because my pc recognized my phone as just a media device.
Hi all, I have a 1TB Western Digital external drive that I carry around with me. It used to work flawlessly, but now, increasingly, it doesn't get recognized when I plug it in. The drive spins, so there is *some* communication happening, but nothing in dmesg, and no device to mount in /dev.
Hi, a few days ago I updated my Mz604 Xoom with USA stock rom and since then when I plug it to pc shows "connected as media device" and it remains even if it's unplugged, so I've tried every rom I have (USA, EU, Cyanogen...), wiped cache, Dalvik... but results are the same: the damn message "connected as media device" is still there.
